Creamed Spinach

Serves: 6 (Contains Dairy)


3 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic
1 small onion, minced
1 1/2 tablespoons Manischewitz® Potato Starch
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds spinach, washed, chopped and cooked


In a saucepan, sauté garlic and onion in the butter until the onion is tender, Discard garlic. Gradually add milk to potato starch. Stir in salt and pepper. Slowly add milk mixture to sautéed onions and stir over low heat until thickened. The sauce gets very thick very quickly. Stir in well-drained spinach and heat.
